We would love to win! Andof course wear the Tshirt. I'm a native Phoenician you know.

We just launched LuxuryRealEstate4Charity.com (in Southern California for now and expanding across the U.S. starting in January).

It's a new site where agents can use "social media" tools (video featuring the agent actually selling the home, agent profiles, send video to a friend via email, post video to your blog etc.) to sell their properties online and give back to the community.

When a property is sold, the agent and/or seller donate a portion of the real estate transaction fees to Habitat for Humanity in the community where the home resides. Habitat then creates a video to document that donation.

The agent can use the property videos and Habitat videos to show sellers how he/she is marketing properties online (where 34% of buyers come from).

2media has and will continue to implement an extensive PR & Marketing Campaign to drive affluent buyers to the site. Good stuff!

Jay, you rock!

This event is going to be our best yet. And it's probably one of the most important events we've ever hosted. We've got over 850 people registered already! I think people realize the importance of figuring out what they can do to help their business in these crazy times and they're willing to invest the money to make it to Connect.

I was looking online yesterday at Hotels within walking distance of the conference. There are several that have rooms for around $100 a night. Not bad considerning it's Times Square area. Plus, airfare is down now that gas prices have finally fallen. So, attending the conference is really not too bad. Especially if you can split room costs with someone like you mentioned.

Anyway, thanks again, and I'll see you in NY!

Jay - what a GREAT way to get a ton of comments on an already popular blog! By the way, I will be at the Lake Travis HS semi-final football playoff game tomorrow at UT Memorial Stadium. The never let high school teams play there - unless it is self-serving. Well, it is. Garrett Gilbert, the LTHS QB will be playing for UT. He already broke Colt McCoy's touchdown record and isn't far behind Graham Harrell's yards record. The kid can run too. They call him Vanilla Vince.

In fact, it's costing me about $25 for the t-shirt.

Link baiting? Hardly. There's really not much of a point in someone linking to this post. Dustin did from 4Realz because that's kinda what 4Realz does. It's not like I'm requiring anyone to link to this post to enter. THAT would be link baiting. Look it up.

Traffic building? OK, so maybe a few extra Realtors found this site and left a comment. I seriously doubt any of them will be buying or selling a home in Phoenix. (though if any are interested.... )

Yeah, I get someone wearing my shirt for a day at a conference. A real estate conference in a city 2,500 miles away. I'm hoping the guy selling hot dogs in Times Square hits the site and decides to buy a home in Scottsdale. That's my plan, I'm sticking to it.

Also, I'll order a shirt in whatever size the winner wants. I'm going to add something about HomeQuest on the back thanks to their generous offer to foot the travel ($1,500 max -- do 'em a favor and don't fly first class).

And you've GOT to wear the shirt for one full day at Connect. Dems the rules.

As for the weather in NYC in Jan, remember -- I'm a Phoenix guy. I don't even own a coat. But last year, it there were record highs in NYC for Connect. It was 65. (Which probably means it'll be 20 below this year.)

I have to say that real estate has to be a pretty interesting occupation as there is certainly still lots of opps....but damn talk about now having to deal with uphill matters to get clients qualified
